The role requires the person to produce the annual financial statements and proied applicable reporting to all relevant Boards and Regu;atory Committees.
Key Performance Area
Provide strategic and operational support to the business, Executive Committee (EXCO), Audit and Risk Committee and relevant committees
Manage and coordinate the finance department, ensuring effective and efficient performance so that current and future objectives are met, profesional relationships with stakeholders are developed and maintained
Manage and drive the Business Unit Sustainability efforts, including the integration of sustainability reporting into the business approach
Lead the statutory reporting in the business to ensure full compliance to all regulatory and statutory reporting requirements
Provide strategic guidance as it relates to equity and market trends that will impact on the business transformation agenda
Oversee the review and implementation of company policies and procedures, preparations of the financial statements and timeous submissions of such
Manage the finance team to realise its strategic targets through efficent and effective processing of relevant transactions
Manage stakeholders by liaising and network with the relevant authorities to facilitate and enhance opportunities for the company
Technical Skills and Experience
Qualified CA coupled with at least 8 years relevant experince of which at least 3 years must include strong leadership and management backgroud
In depth knowledge of relevant legal and statutory requirements, financial reporting, budgeting process, monitoring accounting controls, tax matters, as well as liaison with auditors
Proficiency in MS Office Packages especially Excel and PowerPoint, supported by solid knowledge of ERP system functioning
