Planning, directing and controlling the financial function in the Group

Skills Required

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA’S:
•Developing, updating and compliance insurance of financial policies, processes, procedures, practice notes.
•Managing debtor management.
•Preparing and reviewing cost of production processes and component prices.
•Reviewing all monthly provisions.
•Ensuring that the company complies with supplier distribution agreements.
•Ensuring financial processes are optimised.
•Managing capital requirements.
•Preparing information for EXCO, statutory Committees and Board presentations.
•Other tasks/duties that your manager may require you to perform from time to time.
•Reviewing financial and related administrative processes.

FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS/ACTIVITIES:

RESPONSIBLE FOR;
•Prepare monthly management accounts – investigate variances to to budget and KPI’s.
•Prepare annual and interim budgets.
•Analysis of sales and profit margins
•Ensure timeous payments of statutory returns.
•The preparation of monthly management accounts (from source to end).
•The account reconciliations.
•Reviewing and recommending improvements iro financial processes.
•Reviewing related provisions.
•Participate in price modelling.
•Preparing data and reports as required by the Chief Financial Officer.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
•BCompt with good working knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
•Minimum BCom Honours

RELATED EXPERIENCE (YEARS) :
•3 years Financial Management experience
•3 years post articles experience
•Experience in a manufacturing environment
•Cell phone network experience beneficial
•Working knowledge of Company Secretary requirements an advantage
•Working knowledge of JSE listed company requirements an advantage
•Knowledge of Case Ware preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•BCompt with good working knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
•Minimum BCom Honours if CA

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
•Advanced Excel
•Consolidation experience beneficial
•Strong analytical presentation skills of complex data, the ability to summarise volumes of data in a succinct manner
•Experience on Pastel Evolution V7 (worked on package within last 12 – 18 months)
•Experience on Caseware (must have either Pastel or Caseware experience) (worked on package within 12 – 18 months)
•Corporate activity – involvement in purchase and sale of companies, administering due diligence advantageous.
•MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
•Team Player but able to work independently
•Strong work ethics
•Live in or near West Rand
