My client, a well known 3* hotel in Hazyview, seeks to appoint a suitably qualified Financial Manager to their senior team. Responsibilities: Implementing effective financial controls and procedures at the HotelComprehensive monthly financial reporting of the hotel in accordance with strict deadlinesCompilation of relevant components of management and board reportsPreparation of budgets and forecastsPayroll administration for the HotelManaging credit policies and authorising credit based on these policiesMaximising returns derived from the HotelAssisting the General Manager with special projectsAnalysing data pertaining to the hotel and relevant industry sectorsKeeping abreast of trends and developments in the Hotel industryDemonstrating a high degree of professionalism, self-motivation and responsibilityLeading and directing employees in the finance department of the hotelAlways fully meeting all hotel accounting and financial reporting requirements as laid down from time to time.Requirements: Matric/Grade 12Must have extensive work experience in an accounting environment.Preferably 3 to 5 years work experience within the hospitality industry in a leadership role.Minimum BCom Accounting DegreeKey attributes and skills: Commercial acumen, disciplined, organized, attention to detail, deadline driven.
