Qualification:

CA (SA) with a minimum of 3 years Financial Management experience

Job Description:

Prepare financial reports including financial statements, strategic plans, budgets and financial forecasts up to consolidation level.

Analyse variances from forecasts and the interpretations thereof.

Ensure the mapping of chart of accounts on various systems is accurate to ensure reliability of data is not compromised across systems.

Ensure transactional recording, process journal entries and compile general ledger.

Ensure that there are sufficient funds available to meet the ongoing operational and capital investment activities.

Prepare operational management reports daily/weekly/monthly.

Ensure that all related tax and statutory affairs of the different companies are in order including but not limited to ensuring that VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, Income Tax, are duly submitted and paid for in time and proper cash planning is maintained to meet tax commitments.

Ensure that audit files are prepared on time and accurately and interact with external auditors during audit.

Ensure procedure manuals are adequately prepared and maintained regularly and are at the required standard.

Review contracts, orders and vouchers prior to settlement.

Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and corporate policies and ensure that entries are recorded in compliance with the policies and accounting standards.

Keep up to date with IFRS standards and all accounting concepts, practices, and procedures.

To identify and alert the CEO / General Manager of any irregularity, lack of compliance, lack of adherence to process and procedures, weakness in internal controls, and any actual or potential concerns arising out of the financial and operational matters of the business.

Manage a financial support team.
