POSITION Financial Manager
Area; Edenvale
Remuneration • Between R400 000.00 (p.a) and R600 000.00 candidate dependent (qualification/experience)
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• • B.Comm Accounting, Chartered Accountant
• • Job costing qualification would be advantageous
• • Management qualification would be beneficial
EXPERIENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• • At least 5 years’ post qualification Financial Management/Accounting experience with costing;
• • Experience in the manufacturing environment would be advantageous

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS
1. Accurate and meaningful management reports by the 15th.
2. Accurate year end reports within 2 months of year end.
3. Statutory and GAAP compliance.
4. Making payments to the correct beneficiaries by/on the due date.

DUTIES
Your duties would include but not be limited to:
1. Manage accounting staff and associated administration staff. To be able to work effectively through others, this duty would entail planning, organizing, leading and controlling functions.
2. Compile monthly Management report packs after careful consideration of the recognition and cash flow.
i. Budget forecasts to year end, YTD actuals, variance reports together with rolling 12 month forecasts;
ii. Statement of financial position (Balance sheet), these should be compiled by the 15th of each month.
3. To compile these monthly management report packs accurate compilation of the i. Purchase order cycle
a. Buying;
b. Receiving
c. Inventory Management, stock control v stock takes;
d. Creditor Management
ii. Sales order cycle:
a. Sales order value updates;
b. Sales order wip valuation;
c. Sales order invoicing schedule;
d. Sales order payment/cash flow schedules.
iii. Job Costing Cycle a. Understand sales/cost estimates
b. Correct allocation of costs (raw materials, bought outs, consumables, labour and overheads)
c. Identify and highlight variances
iv. Manpower Payroll Management: a. Vat 201 classifications
b. Compliance with legislation of zero vat
c. Assist with SARS queries
a. Understand manpower rates and ratios;
b. Capture and allocate weekly wage costs;
c. Calculate wage recovery rates
d. Balance costs to recovery
v. Vat cycle Preparation:
vi. Vat
All the above with the underlying ledgers and supporting documentation accurate, complete and balances.
4. Compile the Annual audit pack in preparation for the auditors;
5. Direct financial audits and recommend procedural improvements;
6. Maintain and improve controls to safeguard Company assets;
7. Support and assist the Financial Director and other Directors in overall Company Management.
8. Any other duties as assigned by Management
