Our client in Paarl is looking for a experienced Farm Manager to manage the farm in all aspects to produce maximum growth and production.

Requirements and skills:
Business Management knowledge and experience – Mathematical and strategic planning skills essential

Agricultural Qualification (preferably).

Experience Essential

Food technology education and experience (an advantage)

Job Functions:

Regular communications and co-operation with the company owner.

Manage human resources – farm workers, bottling staff and casuals.

Manage all operations on farm.

Manage all operations in bottling plant.

Close co-operation and co-ordination with Financial Manager.

Public Relations (to a lesser degree).

KEY DUTIES:

Grove Management

Cultivation

Chemical Pest Control

Fertilizer programme

Pruning

Irrigation

Development of new groves

Maintenance of farm vehicles, tractors and equipment.

Keeping all vehicles, tractors and equipment in working condition at all times.

Oversee repair and maintenance.

Be able to perform general repairs.

General farm maintenance and development

Buildings – maintenance and up-keep.

Fencing

General Hygiene

Pest control

Management of staff

Proper record keeping.

Harvesting

Salary: R25 000 - R30 000
