R30k pm CTC including M/A and Pension

Ideal candidate will be male and between the age of 30 to mid 40’s due to the travelling involved.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
B.Comm Financial Accounting or similar qualification is required
3 years experience with ideally experience in an equivalent/similar position within the Financial function of a private organisation or a subsidiary of a multi-national together with evidence of proven successful responsibility for a financial function
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing or FMCG environment would be highly beneficial
A strong grasp of accounting standards such as GAAP and IFRS
Demonstrable expertise in internal Auditing, Treasury activities, Financial Planning
Providing high standards of financial control and effective management of working capital
Robust understanding of modern finance and ERP systems including information and process flows
Good operational and finance controls awareness

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide high standard of financial controls
• Management of working capital
• Managing the Treasury function with specific emphasis on Cash Flow and Foreign Exchange exposure
• Liaison with Deneb Head Office, Auditors and other key third parties
• On-going store visits to conduct Audits which involve regular travel
• Conducting store counts at every store with a minimum of 1 count per annum. It should be noted that stock counts over weekends occur 3 times during the year.
• All finance executive responsibilities including Budget preparation and profit forecasts, Treasury management, group reporting and consolidation
• Maintain strong relationships with Landlords, Key Shareholder, key clients, insurers, key creditors and Auditors
• Manage a team of 2
• Develop strong and interactive relationships with Operations Management and ensure synergy in information flows
• Strong accounting and operational control orientation

ADDITIONAL SKILLS/INFORMATION:
• Must be able to work well under pressure
• Discipline and Grievance handling if required
• Required to work beyond the normal working hours – this includes Saturdays and Sundays
• Valid Driver’s Licence – National Travel required
