Heading up the finance team for the local operation. This role will report to a Financial Controller based in Britain. The successful appointee will manage a small team consisting of a Credit Controller and an Assistant Accountant. Your responsibilities will include financial support to regional and head office management on projects, mergers and acquisitions, cost saving initiatives and Group reporting. With the highest level of integrity, you will have the ability to operate effectively under tight deadlines and strong attention to detail and strong work ethic.



Qualification:

CIMA / CA qualification preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Accounting



Skills & Experience:

Minimum 3 - 5 years’ commercial experience in a Financial Manager role

Advanced MS Excel skills

SAGE accounting systems preferable and advantageous

Ability to manage up as well as down

Strong communication skills


Job Description:

Management of the Region’s control environment.

Knowledge of the South African Accounting, Tax and Payroll legislation.

Management of procedures for Management of the Payroll System and Pension Fund scheme to ensure payments are made to Staff, SARS, Pension Fund and Medical Aid Providers to set timetables and ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.

Providing regular insightful variance analysis within the context of market and budget / forecast.

Ensuring monthly balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a timely basis and for these to be reviewed.
