Sovereign Foods is looking for a thorough and committed individual to take up the role of Financial Manager, reporting to Senior Financial Manager. This position carries the grade of T12. The successful incumbent will be a focussed, pro-active and results orientated individual that will manage the financial activities of the Broiler division through driving down costs, highlighting variances to standards and areas of improvement across the Broiler division
The ideal candidate will be in possession of a BCom qualification, with more than 3 years’ experience in financial management, including budget processes, control and management and cost-saving experience at a senior level.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve the following results:
? Monitoring expenses against budget and highlight over expenditure;
? Communicate costs by farm per cycle to farm/area managers in monthly one-on-one meetings;
? Produce monthly accounts by the fourth working day of each month;
? Manage and coordinate monthly stock takes, ultimately achieving zero variance on every stock take;
? Manage, coordinate and report on weekly cycle counts and resolve any variances immediately;
? Drive the focus of specific task team members, ensuring the ultimate achievement of goals and objectives
? Ensure Broiler Finance SOP’s are up to date and all staff understand and adhere to them.

? Strong leadership and financial managerial competencies
? Good analytical skills and ability to take corrective action Poultry disease knowledge
? High degree of Computer competence (Excel, Word, Access, Syspro).
? Excellent time management skills
? Good communicator
