CORE PURPOSE OF THE JOB
DIMENSIONS OF THE JOB

? Development and review of internal controls through internal audits to ensure compliance to procedures.
? Management Accounting, Group consolidation, preparation, analysis and review ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
? Ensure compliance to statutory reporting.
? Review of Working capital management.
? Development of Financial Systems and formulating accounting system specifications.
? Planning of external year-end audits
? Group Procurement
? Internal Audits
? and forecasts

NATURE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
? Financial: must be highly qualified and understand commercial accounting principles
? Operations: Understand business functions and processes.
? Define business plans from conceptual phase to implementation phase.
? High level project management and maintenance overseeing all project implementation.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

Qualification:
? A Bachelor’s degree in Chartered Accountancy with at least 10-15 years commercial experience (CA)
Experience:
? At least 10-15 years experience in a similar role with a medium to large organisation with experience in financial analysis and business processes reporting and documenting.
? Commercial, Manufacturing and Financial background.
? Experience in managing the accounting function and delivering timely and accurate financial and management information in a challenging and dynamic commercial environment.
? Broad understanding of business processes and controls relating to optimal working capital management.
? Experience with project management methodologies

Skills:
? Financial and analytical
? High level of business acumen
? Familiar with financial, IT and software/computer platforms.
? Understanding of Group’s technology platforms and integration issues.
? Skill in analyzing and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures.
? Ability to analyze comprehensive business processes, perform in-depth work analyses and assess computer-generated flow charts.
