Our Client is a technology and marketing company founded in 1997 which currently employs some 900+ people in Century City, Cape Town. They provide marketing and other services to a global online gaming group that operates multiple international brands and products in 20+ languages and 100+ countries from a number of offices around the world. Due to company growth and expansion, they are currently looking for a young, dynamic and ambitious Financial Modelling Analyst to join their Team
Minimum requirements:
- Relevant tertiary education
- Preference for an actuarial student with a background in valuations and / or financial modelling who is looking for wider-fields experience and a more dynamic work environment than is usually found in the traditional insurance or banking sectors.
Job description:
- Maintenance and enhancement of the model
- Obtaining, manipulating and analyzing business data to derive experience assumptions
- Interaction with Marketing, Finance and senior executives to derive additional parameters and assumptions
- Hypothesizing, testing and comparing projected outcomes of scenarios for the growth of existing business and / or the development of new markets
- Highlighting potentially unprofitable scenarios in order to determine remedial action where possible
- Monitoring of subsequent actual outcomes relative to model assumptions in order to determine likelihood of goal achievement (particularly in respect of new markets) and / or need for changes in tactics and strategy
- Experience and a high level of expertise in the following is required:
- Data analysis and financial modelling
- Microsoft Excel
- VBA or similar
- Experience of the following would be very useful (but will otherwise be obtained on the job):
- Microsoft SQL Server and its associated tools and technologies
- SQL in general
