To provide the Business Line with financial analysis including explanations on variances to prior month, prior year, budget, forecast and offer, develop plans/recommendations for performance improvement, providing results on a timely basis to regional management and to the Divisional Head Office, and carrying out monthly financial reporting, including preparation of narratives, cash flows and budgeting /forecasting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
Participating in monthly Financial Planning and Analysis calls to discuss prior month results, current month performance and outlook
Liaise with the Business Line Managers and centralised finance.
Preparation of the annual budget and forecasting process for the division in conjunction with the Business Line Leaders
Assessing investment appraisal opportunities and co-ordinating capex requests accordingly and maintaining a detailed Consolidated Capex Register
Participating in merger and acquisitions team activity, performing financial due diligence activities/analysis/support
Ensuring internal controls are in operation to the Company Group standards and reviewing such controls.
Assist in the standardisation of finance processes, ensuring the finance activities comply with the highest standards of accuracy, validity and ethics and ensuring adherence to the Company Accounting Policies.
Collection and Consolidation of Business Unit Commentaries.

QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL:
Qualified Accountant
Degree level education (or equivalent)
Required Competencies:

Commercial awareness
Self-motivated and able to work alone but as part of remote global management team
Persuasive character with the highest levels of integrity

Good problem solving skills
PC/IT literate: Microsoft tools, Cognos reporting system and PeopleSoft experience desirable

EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL:
Proven experience in managing multiple country consolidation, preferably on a global basis
Experience of providing financial support to a global businesses
Experience of supporting acquisitions and completing outsourcing deals is highly desirable
Foreign exchange accounting experience
Must be able to prioritise projects and/or business needs based on regional requirements and objectives
Experience of internal and external audit processes and procedures
