Qualification:

BEng/BTech in Mechanical Engineering



Skills & Experience:

Complete and oversee the designs and draughting of sprinklers, control valves, extinguishers, hydrants and hose reels, smoke extract, smoke detection, pressurization systems, fire storage and pumping systems, fire water, gas suppression systems

Apply SA Building Regulations and local Bylaws, Regulations and Codes of Practice (SANS, NFPA, BS, and ASIB etc.)

Must have project management experience

Financial Budgeting

Prepare draft concept report and sketch design

Prepare draft rational design and drawings

Arrange for approval of fire plans

Obtain fire clearance certificate and COC on fire panels and equipment

Assist with handover documentation

Complete work within agreed cut off dates

Take responsibility for internal projects/systems

Job Description:

Work on massive projects within the building services sector that includes Office Blocks, Hospitals, Data Centres and Shopping Malls. Ensure projects are completed within the provided time frame and budgets.
