JOB SUMMARY:

1.1 Performing metal fabrications for windows, doors, door and window grills, shelving and cabinets.
1.2 To specify material requirement and quantities in all kind of work fabrications for all hospital and accommodations requirement.
1.3 To work with the mechanical technician in the preventive and corrective maintenance of all equipment, office furniture, kitchen equipment and all hospital related equipment.

2.0 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

2.1 To carrying out all kinds of metal and aluminum fabrications for windows, doors, cabinets, drawers and shelvings.
2.2 To work with mechanical technicians in all fabrication, modifications and conversation work, repair and new installation works.
2.3 To provide material specifications, estimated quantity and quality for any fabrication, modification and conversion works.
2.4 To work with the team to carry out any repair or installation work in the hospital and accommodations and as may be required by his immediate supervisor.
2.5 Ensures observance of Continuous Quality Improvement & Patient Safety and adhering to the implementation of its plans and program.
2.6 Coordinates with the Supervisor and his colleagues in regards to the efficient maintenance and operation of the all equipment and in the preparation of all reports.
2.7 Coordinates with the team to provide a report of the required extent of man power and material take –off for a particular work in all hospital projects.
2.8 Carries out other duties relevant to the organisation’s mission and as may be required by the supervisor or the Director of Operations & Maintenance/Head of Department.
2.9 Work with the team for empowerment and giving assistance to assess staff training relevant to this work position.
2.10 Giving assistance to assess staff training needs to provide on the job training and assist in maintaining records of all training carried out.
2.11 Re-assure the compliance of all activities in the projects with the Quality Improvement Department.
2.12 Carries out other duties within his knowledge and capacity as required by the Director of Engineering.

3.0 REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Qualifications or Relevant Experience:

3.1.1 At least two (2) year Vocational course from a well recognized Trade School.
3.1.2 With authenticated Certificate from the any recognized or National Trade Institute.

3.2 Personal Qualities:

3.2.1 With good work attitude in dealing with a multi-national work force.
3.2.2 Ability to work independently and without asking for any kind of assistance
from colleagues especially during emergency work.
3.2.3 Self reliance and determination to carry out any assigned task.
3.2.4 Fluent in English in both written and spoken.

3.3 Experience:

3.3.1 With minimum of five (2) years experience in all types of metal fabrication, metal works and modification.
3.3.2 With full exposure in the operation of welding, Welding apparatus and machine.
3.3.3 With knowledge in reading and executing all types of mechanical drawing plans.
3.3.4 Well familiar with all types and specification of metals for fabrications
