FITTER
(Close to Potchefstroom, Carletonville - NORTH WEST)
A drilling solutions provider to the mining industry requires a Fitter responsible for repairs and maintenance, supervision and health and safety.
Requirements include:
- N3 + Fitter & Turner section 13 Trade Test
- Code 8 Drivers license.
- Computer literate and fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- 5+ years experience as a Fitter
- Hydraulics knowledge
- Be medically fit to work in an underground environment
- Be prepared to travel extensively
- Previous MINING experience an advantage
Responsible for: Receiving instructions / machinery in for repair; examines dismantled machinery; fault finding; assembling; conducts tests; repair hydraulic cylinders; reports anomalies; conducts regular spot checks on equipment / tools used and decides whether to repair; physically rigs heavy equipment to be moved with overhead crane
Salary range between R7k – R12k basic per month excluding allowances dependent on experience
