A large industry leader in a specialized construction sector, is seeking the expertise of a Fleet & Asset Manager to join their dynamic team (Midrand).
Salary = R 50 000 per month (negotiable depending on experience)

Minimum requirements:
B.Com Degree / or similar qualification
Highly computer literate
Knowledge of business and financial systems
At least 6 years’ experience at Management level
Extensive knowledge and experience in vehicle and fleet management
Extensive knowledge and experience of fixed asset management
Strong administration skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Specification:
Manage and maintain all company vehicles and assets
Optimal management of company fleet vehicles; licensing, services, roadworthy certificates etc
Monitor fleet and vehicle performance through driver’s logs, trip sheet books vs maintenance and fuel expenses
Procurement of tools and equipment and updating Asset register (includes PPE)
Responsible for preventative maintenance schedules to be distributed to all relevant personnel
Ensure Cost Efficiency of Fleet
Ensure Efficiency of Tool and Equipment usage
Broadening the customer base and general growth of the business
Increase management's effectiveness by:
- Recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining Managers
- Communicating values, strategies, and objectives
- Assigning accountabilities
- Planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
- Developing incentives
- Developing a climate for offering information and opinions and providing educational opportunities
Develop strategic plans by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions and recommending objectives
Accomplishing subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements Allocating resources, reviewing progress and making mid-course corrections
Coordinating efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff
Building the company image by collaborating with customers, community organisations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices
Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards
Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by:
- Attending educational workshops
- Reviewing professional publications
- Establishing personal networks
- Benchmarking state-of-the-art practices
- Participating in professional societies
Contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
