Our client is a leader in the supply of hardware products and all DIY essentials. They offer a wide range of approaches to create a bespoke home building products and solutions.

Position Overview
The ideal candidate will provide an internal presence in the building supplies and hardware sales for the company. Duties will include following up on contacts for new business as well as providing an internal link between the store and the existing customer base. Candidates must have a full understanding and in-depth knowledge of all related building processes and materials.
Qualifications and knowledge required:
• Minimum Grade 12 (Diploma or Certificate – added advantage).
• 3 – 4 Years’ experience in sales environment.

Requirements:
• National Senior Certificate / Grade 12;
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar managerial or supervisory role in the construction or building materials retail sales sector;
• Strong level of knowledge and understanding building materials;
• Excellent customer service and communication skills;
• Computer literate; and
• Valid driver’s license with own reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all categories / departments are performing to maximum efficiency;
• Promote continual growth and overall profitability of the total store sales;
• Communicate inefficiencies and poor performance products or ranges by performing regular product audits;
• Ensure that all stock management processes are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures;
• Daily stock requisitions;
• Maintain a tidy and well merchandised store;
• Maintain standards of stock and shelf pricing in accordance with company policies and procedures;
• Staff management with emphasis on discipline, control, productivity, performance, sales generation and customer service; and
• Ensure excellent customer service.

Minimum Requirements:
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English;
• Contactable work References; and
• Windows PC Literate.

General:
• Team player but able to work independently;
• Excellent attention to detail;
• Excellent admin skills and ability to multi-task;
• Friendly and professional telephone manner;
• Excellent email etiquette; and
• Own transport essential.
