Our client, a leading FMCG company in the food industry seeks to appoint a Sales Representative with a minimum of 2 years sales experience in the FMCG industry to service retailers, smaller independent traders and forecourts in the West Coast region.

Requirements:
• A minimum of 5 years FMCG experience with at least 2 years sales experience
• Must have own reliable vehicle (registered in own name)
• A valid driver’s license
• Must be a self-starter and able to function independently
• Strong negotiation skills
• Must be able to work towards deadlines and sales targets
• Must have excellent communication and people skills
• Computer literate (MS Office)

Responsibilities:
• Service and develop existing client base in West Coast and surrounding region.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales & market share and develop new customers in the Region.
• Initiate concepts and ideas to drive and enhance business in the Region.
• Review clients on a monthly basis with direct line manager and set up action to remedy shortfalls.
• Ensure brand visibility by means of POP and product representation in-store.
• Negotiate additional product listings/in store promotions and price drops.
• Adherence to call cycle as set by direct line manager as well as have positive routing input.
• Ensure that all promotional activity are adhered too and executed
• Provide assistance to sales partners and customers, where necessary
• Establish and maintain product availability at store level
• Identify training needs of clients and schedule relevant training with Brand Activator.
• Handling of customer complaints – in store investigations, feedback to QC Department etc.
• Management of food warmers and equipment
• Ensure returns are managed within the budget
• Providing input regarding competitor activities, competitions, discount, trade developments store takeovers, liquidations, success in territory with new products and complaints.
• Conduct monthly customer surveys.
• Complete and submit all ad-hoc administration as per agreed deadline.
