Our renowned client in the Leisure and Tourism industry has a vacancy for a well experienced Food & Beverage Manager.

Direct report: GM Operations

The role of the Food and Beverage Manager is to ensure delivery on the Client Brand and service experience and in so doing, drive revenue and contribute to the profitability and sustainability of the Company. The position is also to enhance the perception of value for money in the eyes of the customer by providing service excellence in keeping with the brand promise. The position is to support client at its leisure facility.

Job specifications/requirements:
• Matric and/or relevant (internal or external) Hotel and Food Beverage Management Qualification
• 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Food & Beverage Manager
• Proven managerial experience in the Hospitality Industry
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage systems
• Sound knowledge of stock control and admin
• Good attention to detail
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Work according to strict procedures and policies
• Gregarious, team builder/player
• Ability to work under pressure (Good stress management skills)
• Above average interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership/motivational skills

Major Role Activities Include:
• Managing of the Food & Beverage outlets
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets, Capex requirements, profit forecasts and budgets
• Manage all Food and Beverage systems, including PMS related data and food and beverage control systems and the integrity of data
captured into these systems
• Policies and Procedures for Food and Beverage documented and implemented
• Management of service providers and contractor performance
• Waste management
• Management of departmental contracts
• Departmental training and development programmes
• Departmental performance and staff management programmes
• Reporting and compliance
• Achieve budgeted cost of sales and revenue
