Job Summary: To lead and organise the F&B Service Team, to set and maintain standards and to strive to always keep improving standards whilst maintaining budget and gross profit.Responsible to operate within the policies and procedures as set out in the operating manual.To plan your work hours in accordance with the peaks and troughs of the business so that you are present during high volume or operationally challenging times like evenings, weekends and public holidays. Minimum Qualifications: Hospitality related qualification preferableMust have at least 5 years experience as a Food and Beverage Operations Manager at a 5 star establishmentTraceable track record of leading a successful Food and Beverage teamExperience of working within a leading hotel of the worldComputer literate – working knowledge of Micros and Opera advantageousGood financial understanding inclusive of control of cost of sales, budgeting and management of the departmental budgetAble to work flexible hours as per the operational requirements Personal Attributes: Ability to work within a fast passed environmentStrategic big picture thinking with strong technical knowledge relating to food and beverageHighly motivated, independent and a calculated decision makerInfluential, firm, direct and self assured communication skillsAbility to maintain control of the department with easeWell presented, honest, enthusiastic and professionalAbility to motivate and inspire team towards the Hotel’s goals Key Responsibilities: Achieve budgeted revenues, prepare monthly forecast, and maximize profitability within the F&B departmentLead and organize training and development through the Food and Beverage departmentDevelop and communicate departmental strategies and goals and assign/prioritise workEstablish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goalsReview and approve menu design and concepts with Executive chefMay recruit, evaluate, and select entertainment for Food and Beverage outlets and eventsYou may serve as Manager on Duty or assist with other duties as assigned
