An exclusive hotel with exceptional standards seeks an experienced Food Stores Clerk to join their team. We are looking for a highly precise and accurate numerical person, to oversee the day-to-day stock management of the kitchen food store. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE OR QUALIFICATION:• Grade 12• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in a store controller role.• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word and Excel• Working knowledge of a Stock Control program; exposure to F’nB Shop advantageous• Proven experience in managing costs within budget parameters• Proven practical understanding of food hygiene, storage and stock rotation procedures• Presentable• Good command of the English language• Able to work flexible hours including late shift, week-ends and public holidays, particularly KEY PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:• Issue goods requested by users from stores on authorised stores issues/requisition forms, ensuring goods are signed for by the person collecting the goods. Capture details of issues to outlets into F&B cost control programme and file signed documentation.• Processing orders as per the head chef to maintain stocks at par levels and in accordance with operating requirements.• Attend weekly function meetings to ascertain extraordinary order requirements for the week.• Receive deliveries into stock checking, quantities, values, and expiry dates and signing for them in accordance with the hotel procurement policy.• To check that delivery vehicles are kept in a clean hygienic condition at the correct temperatures.• To check that the temperatures of produce is correct to ensure the quality of the product.• Capture delivery note/invoice data into stock control system, attach to the original approved order and pass on to the Accounts department for payment on a daily basis.• Process inter-outlet transfer sheets daily from all outlets and Capture details into the cost control program on a daily basis and file.• Ensure that goods are packed in stores in accordance with stock sheets and with due regard to preservation of stock and hygiene regulations / standards.• To check the fridge and freezer temperatures daily ensuring that are within correct food storage parameters.• Control stock through stock checking and explain variances.• Take stock in stores as specified in the monthly stock take schedule.• Prevent unauthorised entry into stores.• Report all after hours entries into stores daily to the head chef.• Ensure that all stores are kept clean and tidy at all time Accompany your CV with your photo in professional attire + written references
