Food Technologist Saldanha


Our client seeks to employ a Food Technologist to run their Food Safety Program.

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Quality Assurance role coupled with a HACCP qualification.


Requirements:
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a Quality Assurance role.

· HACCP qualification is essential.

· Ability to work to deadlines and deliver results.

· Valid driver’s licence (with PDP) and own transport.

· Ability to travel locally.



Responsibilities:
· Implement and manage a quality management system.

· Record daily monitoring results, temperatures, weights, cleaning chemical concentrations, traceability info and other measurables.

· Supervising pre-requisite programs such as cleaning and personal hygiene. Complete associated cleaning records, personal hygiene etc. records.

· Ensure that all records are completed and filed.

· Co-ordinate and filing other aspects of the quality management system namely lab analysis, certificates of analyses etc.

· Liaising with subcontractors such as pest and cleaning contractors, suppliers and ensuring that they provide quality services.

· Driving the non-conformance program.

· Following up on non-conformance on the product and quality management system.

· Planning and conducting internal audits.

· Planning and conducting review of the system.

· Training personnel in understanding and accepting quality and food safety principles.
