Our food manufacturing Client, based in Pretoria West, urgently requires a Food Technologist in their Product Development department.

Minimum Requirements

Head and shoulders photograph together with updated CV
Grade 12 Certificate /Bcom –Food Technology
Knowledge of Food Safety (FSC 22000) is a prerequisite
3-4 years’ Technical support experience in food ingredients/nutrition market
Understanding of how to develop a prototype protein based sample
Computer literate in SAP
Ability to work accurately under pressure
Stable career with contactable landline references
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Police Clearance Certificate

Key Responsibilities

Develop, plan, manage and execute steps and stages of product formulation and seasoning development.
Collaborate and partner with seasoning suppliers to source resources, solve challenges.
Contribute to Company’s commitment to on-going product innovation and taste, texture and appearance excellence.
Accurately set up and launch new products ensuring all legal and regulatory compliance.
Manage active product changes and transitions to ensure nutritional and regulatory compliance on all packaging and labels.
Work closely with QA and sanitation to communicate allergens or other food safety and nutritional concerns.
Maintain accurate and effective research and development records, documentation and version control of new formulations, seasoning, and raw material evaluations.
Identify areas of opportunity for quality improvements.
