The person will be responsible for providing support for the treasury team which manages and trades foreign currencies, currency derivates and equity derivatives.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Attributing best execution of currency and derivative trades
Completion and submission of Balance of Payment forms to various banks
Liaising with banks to ensure accuracy of execution
Maintaining records of trades executed and audit trail
Keeping track of exposures and settlement dates of trades executed
Assisting in the process of daily unitisation/ valuation of multi-manager products
Processing of international and domestic payments via online banking profiles
Assisting the admin team to clear unreconciled bank reconciliation items on fund bank accounts that could occur due to Forex transactions or international payments
Performing the bank reconciliation of all Forex settlement accounts on a daily basis
Ad hoc reporting where required
Performing and responding to daily controls and resolving all discrepancies
Where necessary, assisting with the set up and maintenance of relationships between company and the various banks

Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor of Business Science degree/ Bachelor of Commerce degree or equivalent tertiary qualification

Experience:

A minimum of 2 years investment administration experience specifically related to foreign exchange processing and making international payments is required
Knowledge of the South African Exchange Control regulations will be advantageous
