PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

• Manage the Spa/Store effectively and professionally
• Manage and control stock
• Encourage retail of products within Spa/Store
• Observe staff retail and schedule weekly retail training to enhance retail performance.
• Observe staff repeat clients and encourage rebooking’s and cross bookings.
• Develop a strategy where therapists market themselves and the spa within surrounding circles.
• Refresh treatment knowledge from time to time to make sure therapists are following the correct steps.
• Do product assignments from time to time to spot check the product knowledge of the therapists as sometimes they lack in retail as they do
not know the product.
• Do equipment evaluations randomly to ensure therapists are cleaning and working caringly with the equipment to avoid damage or loss (cost
of replacement) as they can sometimes take it for granted.
• Random make-up standard and nail checks to ensure therapists are maintaining the 5* spa look at all times.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:

• Quality control -
• Staff Management – attendance and performance – where necessary, seek guidance from Head Office
• Training and Development of staff and or overseeing the training and development of staff
• Stock control must be conducted once a week and at month end – report findings to Head Office
• Conduct random audits to check that the required stock is in Spa/Store
• Check staff time management on a daily basis (including appointment times are adhered to)
• Prepare monthly staff Rosters and forward to Head Office at beginning of each month
• Marketing and promotions – as when instructed by Head Office
• Ensure proper administration and documentation which includes accounts and orders
• Ensuring successful financial flows are adhered to, prepare end of day reports and submit to Head Office
• Spa/Store maintenance and security - request assistance when necessary
• Manage the daily housekeeping and running costs - seek approval from Head Office when requiring grocery items and provide slips to Head
Office
• Ensure tight Cash control recording Petty Book
• Laundry must be done at Spa/Store on a daily basis (or as instructed where it should be done)
• Handle bookings onto the Spa System (ESP)
• Oversee the Therapists and Cleaning staff
• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide feedback to Head Office
• Conduct daily Spa/Store Checks – all rooms

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Managerial experience
• Health and Skin care qualification
• Itech Diploma in Health & Skincare
• Ideally must have been a Beauty Therapist
• Ideally Managerial certifications or achievements.
