You'll be working for SameWave (), a well-backed, UK-based start-up set to revolutionise the world of social task and performance management with a game-changing web application. Our team has been delivering digital solutions for over ten years and is part of the Big Ideas Group Ltd, a £20m turnover collective of technology businesses, currently ranked number 33 in the Sunday Times top 100 best companies to work for in the UK.

Are you right for the job?

If you have experience in any of the following, we should really to talk!
Essential:

• 3+ years' commercial experience with HTML(5), CSS(3), JavaScript.
• Responsive & interactive development.
• A degree or diploma in a relevant field, e.g. Computer Science, IT, ICT.

Nice-to-have:

• JavaScript frameworks such as Ember, Angular, Backbone, Knockout, Handlebars, Raphael, D3.
• SASS, jQuery and SVGs.
• Ruby 2+, Rails 3+, PostgreSQL, Redis & Resque, Memcached, and WebSockets.
• APIs, web services, SOAP & similar data integration methods.
• Agile & Scrum development processes.
• Test-driven development.

What will you do?

• Deliver (mainly) front-end and (possibly) back-end elements of the SameWave mobile and web applications through regular stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives and development sprints.
• Assist with technical planning alongside the CTO and development team.
• Advise and assist on the overall development strategy and direction.
• Assist with creating and running automated testing, maintenance and bug-resolution processes.
• Assist with organising and maintaining our development and production environments.
• Roll up your sleeves and get stuck in! We're a growing team in a start-up environment so we need a developer who doesn't mind pitching in with everyone else to do whatever it takes to achieve great things.
