Front End Web Developer - Cape Town


We are currently recruiting for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic Front End Developer who is deeply passionate for design.

You will maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate, with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market and position yourself and the company as a digital specialist.


You will satisfy the following criteria:

• At least 2 years JAVA development experience, including some frame works (e.g. JSF, SPRING).
• At least 2 years experience of JavaScript libraries and front end frame works (e.g. jQuery, CSS, AJAX).
• Strong sense of accuracy and pride in product creation.
• Strong understanding of accessibility; the standards, patterns and approaches that enable web access for all users, irrespective of browsing technology.
• Server side framework experience (JSF, JSP, SPRING, JavaBeans).
• Client side knowledge (jQuery, CSS, AJAX).
• Experience in unit testing processes.
• Experience of team development in integrated environments (e.g. Eclipse) using managed source control systems (e.g. Subversion).

Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Cape Town.
