We are offering a front end developer position to suitable candidates for one of our in-house built products focused on enriching student learner experiences in South Africa and abroad. The position will commence with a three month probation period where you will be working as part of our product team, servicing several clients around South Africa and adding front-end experience to the development roadmap of the solution. After a positive performance evaluation, this may be extended or converted to a permanent position at the end of the probation period. Mid to senior level applicants will be preferred.

Role Duties:
  • Use UXD methodology to craft mobile and web applications
  • Use a combination of markup languages to write web pages and Perform enhancements when required
  • Create high quality mockups and prototypes
  • Perform debugging

Skills Required:
  • JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, jQuery
  • Basic PHP knowledge
  • Development for SEO
  • Experience with Sass, LESS framework and HTML5 Boilerplate would be beneficial

Software Knowledge Required:
  • Drupal, WordPress and Magento
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • ASP.NET
  • Visual Studio
  • Photoshop
  • Familiar with Prototyping software
  • Experience with performance optimization using tools such as YSlow or PageSpeed would be beneficial
