A leading international Web Development company based in Blaauwberg, Cape Town are urgently looking for a Front-End Developer to join their team on a full time permanent basis. They are offering a base salary of between +/- R 25,000 to R35,000 per month (negotiable) based on qualification and experience.
 
This individual will be exposed to a variety of different types of projects varying in scope, nature, size and technology, as well as become part of an exciting and growing development team. Working within a fun yet serious and results driven environment.
 
The company has many international clients from Europe to South Africa and develop custom web applications, e-commerce sites, intranets, Facebook apps and content management systems. The company is based in Blaauwberg  with beautiful offices that overlooks the Cape Town mountain and beach area!
 
They are therefore looking for someone who is enthusiastic, passionate about their work, self motivated, have strong communication skills .
 
Duties:

• Develop functional and appealing websites based on usability.
• Assist back-end developers in coding and troubleshooting.
• Develop CSS that is consistent across all browsers and platforms.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies.

Technologies:

• HTML5, CSS, SASS, Composer
• JavaScript/Ajax, J Query
• Experience with one or more of the following: ReactJS, NodeJS, Meteor, Angular
• Bootstrap Responsive Framework
• Experience in slicing PSD to cross browser, responsive, pixel perfect websites
• Experience developing for WordPress and other CMS platforms would be benefitial.
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility, including Internet Explorer rendering issues and solutions.
• Knowledge of semantic HTML and experience implementing search engine optimisation techniques.

 
Requirements:

• Relevant Qualification and Minimum 2 to 3 years' working experience as Front End Developer.
• Passionate about development and willing to use other languages/technologies when applicable.
• Ability to research emerging technologies and identify possible new applications.
• Good understanding of email design.
