Front Office Receptionist, Hotel and Conferencing
Somerset West
R 6000.00 – R 7000.00 (depending on experience)

SCOPE AND GENERAL PURPOSE
To greet guests and allocate rooms according to laid-down procedures.

RESPONSIBLE TO:
• Rooms Division Manager
• Front Office Manager

SELECTION CRITERIA INCLUDE:
• The ability to welcome and register guests on arrival and ensure efficient, friendly check-in and check out procedures.
• Sound knowledge of the OPERA property management system;
• The ability to handle high pressure situations effectively;
• A minimum of 1to 2 year’s frontline Front Office operations experience in a similar large hotel environment;
• Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of effective Front Office systems, policies and procedures;
• Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills;
• Outstanding guest handling skills;
• Professionally groomed;
• A motivated self-starter who works independently, without close supervision;
• Sets and maintains 5* standards;
• Thorough, accurate figure work;
• Hands on operator, uses initiative; self motivated;
• A teachable, positive attitude is a pre-requisite.
