A reputable Fruit Exporter based in the Northern Suburbs requires a Quality Controller who will be responsible for assessing, capturing, reporting, providing feedback, filing and administration of quality reports and physical evaluation of products to ensure the optimum quality for the company in line with export specifications purposes.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Evaluate quality of fruit pre- and post- packaging / cold store inspection
• Conduct regular pack house and cold storage visits to ensure packing and quality specifications are adhered to
• Maintain and grow internal and external relationships with pack houses and depots
• Analyze quality control reports from the receivers and feedback to growers
• Summarise quality control information and forward it to relevant managers
• Analyse discrepancies and solve problems
• Capture relevant information into NAV system
• Monitor the distribution of stock in terms of receiver requirements

Minimum Requirements:
• Matric with relevant tertiary qualification
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in quality control with a preference in citrus and table grapes
• Strong administrative and computer skills (Excel; MS Office)
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• It will be required to travel in different parts of South Africa
• Knowledge of Food Safety standards & Systems (Global Gap, TNC, BRC, HACCP, Albert Heijn) and Ethical (Advantageous)
