This position is responsible for the development of the functional business in the region. The position is responsible for business planning, marketing, profitability, resource management, project execution and delivery.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Develop and implement Construction Supervision and Pavements strategy for the region
Staff utilisation (Resource Profitability)
Control of budget parameters and project profitability
Development and integration of Construction Supervision and Pavements team
Achieving budget, overhead, and contribution
Project delivery to meet client’s Terms of Reference (TOR)
Business development and marketing where appropriate
Promote staff development, mentoring and project team management

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor of Engineering degree/higher degree from accredited university
Minimum 5 years’ experience on SANRAL projects.
Minimum 15 years of practical experience in the Construction Supervision and Pavements discipline
Sound knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA)
Ability to market and develop relationships
Implementation of sound principles in project management, risk management and financial management
Willingness and ability to work with Web based financial systems to extract and analyse group performance (BST)
Knowledge of Design processes
Ability to write effectively and furnish reports and to prepare business development materials including proposals
Demonstrated ability to successfully undertake and deliver client’s TOR
Hands on experience in delivering within project based budgets and timelines
Consistently produces concept and feasibility designs/solutions that clearly differentiate us from our competitors nationally
Technical Reviewer on large or complex projects
Able to drive technical input to bids and provide clear USPs in technological field
