FUND ACCOUNTANT

Our client – an outstanding global player and industry leader in the investment environment – has a fantastic Cape Town based opportunity. This role is a combined accounting and pricing role within Investor Services

The successful incumbent will be responsible:

• Daily pricing and review of a number Funds
• Daily input and validation of all purchases, sales, corporate actions and dividends
• Responding to queries from trustees, custodians and clients
• Maintain up to date procedures and client deliverable details
• Accounts preparation
• Monthly reconciliation packs

REQUIREMENTS

• B.Com Finance, Accounting Investments or B.Bus.Sc. degree
• Graduates as well as those with 1-2 years’ work experience will be considered
• A good understanding of general accounting principles and of the financial markets and financial instruments.
• Proficient with MS Office with a good working knowledge of MS Excel
• High numerical ability and attention to detail.
• Advanced organizational skills and the ability to work in a pressurized, deadline-driven environment

In addition to the above, you will have a keen eye for detail, be a good communicator/team player and be customer focused.

Advantageous would be previous experience in an investment administration or fund accounting role.
