Educational Requirements:
Matric
Must have Food and Beverage qualification

Experience Requirements:
Must have at least 5 Years’ experience in a service, leisure or hospitality industry
Two years line management experience with a staff compliment of 30+
Inventory and procurement management experience
Computer literate with competency in Outlook, Word and Excel
Must have experience in the Food and Beverage Industry / Hospitality
Staff training and staff development experience
Financial acumen
Must have good command of the English language
Strong Leadership skills
Self- motivated & disciplined
High attention to detail
Results driven individual

Advantageous experience
Candidates with a background in the gambling industry are given preference
Previously disadvantaged individuals are given preference
Institutional cash handling experience
Customer relations management experience at operations level
Security management experience incorporating CCTV systems

Responsibilities:
Management and monitoring of staff on site
Apply a hands-on management approach
Required to work shifts, over weekends, on public holidays and during peak holiday seasons
Substitute during unexpected staff absenteeism
Daily monitoring that the site operates in accordance with all applicable legislation, internal controls and procedures. Implementation of amendments pertaining to legislation, internal controls and procedures and ensuring that the appropriate training thereon takes place.
Control over maintenance of occupational health and safety in terms of section 16(2) of the OHSA
Required to take on responsibilities in terms of the internal rules pertaining to FICA as the Compliance Officer including control over online reporting to the FIC
Ensure that the highest possible levels of customer service is delivered, that customers are appropriately dealt with and that customers are assisted with gaming equipment
Regularly evaluate operating costs, keeping costs to a minimum whilst not affecting standards and levels of service
Control of cash on a daily basis
Control of stock on site
Implementation of marketing programmes
Ensure and initiate effective communication through regular staff meetings
Ensure and initiate effective communication with other relevant group departments
Ensure that a safe environment for staff and customers is provided
Ensure that company assets are safeguarded and appropriately maintained
Working knowledge of all operations systems as well as gaming and related equipment on site
Required to meet daily reporting deadlines
Conduct scheduled formal staff performance reviews
Development, training and motivation of staff
Manage shift rosters, staff leave and absenteeism to ensure that the site is appropriately staffed to meet operational requirements
Involved with the interview and appointment of staff
Conduct disciplinary inquiries in line with company’s disciplinary code
Implement a system for endorsing basic skills for all job specifications
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Carry out any other reasonable duties or responsibilities as operationally required by National/Regional Operations Management
