Game Reserve - Limpopo Province.

10 000 Ha Game Reserve.

The minimum qualification is a 4-year Nature Conservation Diploma with preference to B.Sc applicants.

At least 5 years Reserve Management experience required.

Conservation of animals and plants, ecology, animal population dynamics, supplement feeding program of large herbivores,

predator-prey dynamics (lion reserve), security/anti-poaching program, education, aerial game census, game capture,

animal well-being, eradication of alien plants, bush encroachment program, controlled burning, firebreaks,

sustainable use of water resources.

Responsible for liaison with Government Department of Environmental Affairs, liaison with other

stake holders (garden services, contractors and neighbouring reserves).

Reserve maintenance:

Perimeter fence, road network, water reticulation and waste management.

Personnel management:

Staff, employment of staff, leave roster, designation of duties, duty rosters, work performance evaluation,

disciplinary action, incentives, training, staff well-being, liaison with all staff living on the Reserve.

Administration: staff management, compilation and management of annual reserve budget,

weekly and monthly progress reports, staff attendance register, fleet management,

acquirement of operating equipment, debtors and creditors.

Market related salary including accommodation.
