RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced GARAGE FOREMAN (DIESEL MECHANIC) for a large manufacturing organisation based in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Grade 12.
Valid Code 10 driver’s license / own reliable vehicle is essential.
Competent computer skills (MS Office, Email / Internet).
Trade tested Diesel Mechanic with auto electrical experience.
5yrs+ previous experience (post trade).
Previous management experience as a Foreman would suffice.
Extensive experience on heavy diesel vehicles.
Sound knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Working knowledge of Tranquility, Maximo and Kronos will be a strong advantage.
Person will be responsible for the departments’ administration function and supervising the team.
Compiling and management of the budget, vehicle cost reporting and maintenance of the factory fleet.
Ensure statutory compliances.
Understanding / working knowledge of the OHS Act.
Will be required to take care of the following types of vehicles:- Bell Front-end Loaders, 3 ton Diesel and Electrical Forklifts, 16 ton diesel forklifts, tractors, LDV’s, 3 / 8 ton delivery trucks, Perkins locomotives, emergency diesel generators, Ford tractors, Barloworld Hysters, petrol LDV’s, etc.
Will be required to do standby duties.
