Following positions exist with one of our Mining Clients in their Processing division: EE GCC Eng. Maintenance Superintendent (Gas Handling and Acid Plant).
The position is responsible for the maintenance of the Gas Handling and Acid Plant. This includes all fixed plant installations and mobile equipment. The role also carries legal responsibility in terms of the South African Mine Health and Safety Act.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
1. Professional Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
2. Two years experience as a qualified GCC Engineer.
3. Government Certificate of Competency, Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) for Mines & Works.
4. Both fixed plant and mobile maintenance backgrounds
5. Clear understanding of the Smelting processes.
6. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and function effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a multicultural environment
7. Proficiency in maintenance and strategic planning, organization development and leadership.
8. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation.
9. Ability to plan, manage and control a section’s budgets.
10. Proven safety and production track record in a leadership position
