Job Description
Planning, coordinating and managing all maintenance (plant maintenance systems, mobile equipment, contractor management, along with plant maintenance).
Writing and implementing codes of practices on Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) and Conveyor belts (Open Cast Mines) along with Dense Media Separation / Fixed Crusher.
Performing pre-inspections on equipment as per legal requirements.
Budgeting and cost control.
Ensure health, safety and environmental standards are adhered to.
Mining Safety / vehicle maintenance (tyre care and maintenance systems)
Traffic management – open cast (plans, road designing and construction)
Ensure legal compliance.
Leading and mentoring subordinates
Knowledge of 11Kv-33Kv distribution lines, cables, transformers and LV Process plant equipment.
Minimum Requirements
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Diploma or Degree
GCC Mines and Works Certification
Minimum of 6 years’ experience in the Mining Industry in Engineering and Production along with 3 years’ experience in a supervisory level.
Require a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Regulation 2.13.1 appointee (Open Cast Mining)
Proficient and experienced with Traffic Management Plans for Open Cast Mines
Proficiency in Trackless Mobile Machinery (TMM) SIMRAC reports
Relevant courses pertaining to first aid, safety etc. will be advantageous
