Top Pharmaceutical firm seeks Maintenance Manager (Pharmaceuticals) - GCC. Maximise overall equipment efficiency.

What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Pharmaceutical sector. All duties would take place in this context.


* Maintenance

* Maximise Plant OEE
* Maintenance of Plant Equipment according to International Best Practices and WCM standards
* Implement proactive maintenance strategies such as Reliability Centred Maintenance, Condition Based Maintenance, Predictive, Preventative and Run to Failure
* Manage maintenance tracking system
* Manage spares
* Manage maintenance budgets

* CAPEX

* Implement new plant automation projects
* Bring new international product lines into the local factory
* Create business cases for all CAPEX
* Project manage implementations

* Utilities

* Maintain utilities according to cGMP standards
* Maintain large number of utilities such as Air, Water, Steam Electricity
* Maintain highly sophisticated air-conditioning setup

* Health and Safety

* Setup health and safety practices such as 5s
* Ensure that the plant complies to health and safety standards

* Compliance

* Ensure that all maintenance practices align to cGMP (Company willing to train on cGMP. Think about it like ISO on steroids)
* Certify machines to be operating within tight manufacturer specifications (Crucial in the pharmaceutical sector)
* Perform regular audits to ensure that machinery and utilities remain compliant with cGMP

Key Job Deliverables:

* Significantly improve OEE (There is opportunity for a 40+% improvement)
* Drive Health, Safety & Compliance
* Implement a Utilities Maintenance Strategy (Huge Utilities Gas, Steam, Air, Electricity etc...)


Background work experience:

* 5+ Years as Maintenance Manager (Or Plant Engineer)
* 10+ Years Experience in Plant Maintenance
* BTech/NDip/N6 Mechanical + GCC
* Large Scale Semi-Automated Plant Maintenance (e.g. Petrochemical, Automotive, Automated FMCG etc...)
* International Maintenance Best Practices such as RCM & Proactive Maintenance
* Machine specification conformance certifications
* Adv: Working in a highly regulated such as pharmaceuticals
