A large multidisciplinary Construction company operating throughout South Africa, Africa and the Middle East is looking for suitably qualified Snr Foreman/Construction Managers with a sound knowledge of highways & provincial roads in excess of R 200 Million and who are prepared to travel.

Description:

• Assumes responsibilities over workers, materials, and plant on a particular contract or section of the work.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assessing job priorities and assigning employees to appropriate job sites.
• Making sure employees have tools and equipment needed for job in order to ensure a good output.
• Overseeing the work and making sure it runs smoothly and as per the plan.
• Making sure safety precautions are followed
• Helping in training new employees and helping them as they learn new tasks.
• Giving clear directions to workers as to what needs to be done to avoid repetitive mistakes by the workers
• Making sure company rules are followed by team.
• Evaluate quickest and easiest way to a job without sacrificing quality of the work being done.
• Responsible for the layer works of the roads including all plant on site.
• Setting out of all elements.
• Managing of a Roads team

Skills, Experience & Education:

• Relevant Technical Diploma/Trade/Experience
• Minimum of 10 -15 years experience in a senior position on Highways & Provincial roads projects in excess of R 200 Million.
• Must have hands on experience on large Roads projects.
• Leadership qualities are essential.
