Mission/ Core purpose of the Job:

The General Manager of Actuarial Services is responsible for building the product and pricing roadmap as well as commercial models/CVM models/financial reporting and structures for growing Insurance usages, revenues and customers within “THE CLIENT” Group as well as for delivering the partnerships and the products that will enable “THE CLIENT” Group and Operations to implement “THE CLIENT” group Insurance strategy. The General Manager will also be responsible to support and work jointly with Group Executive Insurance in identifying and assessing M&A/Partnership and product supplier opportunities in the Insurance/Product space

Among other responsibilities, the General Manager will be mainly responsible for:

supporting the OpCos in implementing “THE CLIENT” Group Insurance strategy and product roadmap
engaging OpCos and other group internal key stakeholders to define “THE CLIENT” Group overall Insurance strategy
working with other “THE CLIENT” group support and operational functions (technology, marketing, operation, compliance, legal, procurement, etc..) in delivering “THE CLIENT” Group Insurance Strategy and products
active participation in concluding strategic group wide partnerships to support Insurance strategy
identifying new opportunities in the Product space to formulate “THE CLIENT” group wide Insurance strategy and product roadmap
industry and market screening
reaching group Insurance KPIs
organizing and managing the demand management framework for Insurance
building and structuring of commercial regulatory compliant models
Financial and regulatory reporting
Supporting the OPCO’s on data analytics and CVM models
Actuarial pricing and product design
Job Specifications/ Minimum & Preferred Requirements

Education / Business Degree

Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (Actuarial Masters Degree)
fluent in English
Work Experience

minimum 5 years of significant experience in Insurance, preferably with some experience in telekoms
experiences in driving innovation, change and new business , actuarial product and commercial modelling
relevant specialist experience in insurance with a regional or global organization
track record in working within digital insurance environments and in emerging markets
experience in working in a multicultural and changing environments
experience in working in cross-functional teams

Strategy Development, Formulation and Implementation

engage with OpCos and support departments to develop, formulate a strategy in line with the overarching business goals and informed by the strategies designed at a C level
ensure effective implementation of the strategy by means of providing direction, support, technical and commercial frameworks, models, roadmaps, partners and products to the OpCos
identify and assess new opportunities for “THE CLIENT” in the Product space, define and implement “THE CLIENT” Insurance Product roadmap

Reporting

report monthly to the Group Executive Insurance relating to progress made in accordance with the delivery of Insurance roadmap from both project, implementation and performances perspectives
report on an adhoc basis on specific management requirements as and when necessary

prioritize support department and provider efforts to ensure quality and timely delivery
