PURPOSE
- · To lead and manage the Chemicals, Bio and Materials Division of Testing to achieve financial and organizational objectives including growth of the business and co-operation with other functions of the company such as support functions
- · The strategic objectives of the business are contained in the Strategic Plan of the company Group and translated into the Balanced Scorecard of the company Commercial
KPA’s OR KEY OUTPUTS
- · Management of all resources i.e. financial, equipment and human within the division of Testing
- · Provide leadership on the overall governance, direction setting, operational structures, processes and general management of the division
- · Co-operate and liaise with support functions such as Marketing, Technical Department, Human Capital in achieving the strategic objectives of the company Commercial
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- · Post Graduate Degree in Engineering, Chemical, Physics and/or Biology
- · 8 year related experience in a related field with senior leadership experience (5 of which should be in a Senior management position)
- · In depth knowledge of the Testing and Compliance business environment especially in relation to accreditation
- · Understanding of product certification and the overall conformity assessment especially the role of testing is important
- · Understanding of the Standards environment will be an added advantage
- · Computer literate (MS Office Suite including Access, Internet and other related programmes)
