Looking for a General Manager/Couple for lodge in Zimbabwe
Knowledge and terms
At least 3 – 5 years Management Experience in a 5-star boutique operation
Hospitality and Service Training Experience
Fluent in English essential. Other European languages are beneficial
GM accommodation provided
Medical and travel allowance
This is a permanent live-in position, based in Zimbabwe

Overall management for lodge, including operations, conservation, R&M, kitchen, financial
Direct line management responsibility for the lodge senior management team
Budget and forecast creation, management and control in conjunction with the Lodge Administrator and the Regional Finance Manager. Management of the lodge CAPEX programs
Human resource management and staff development
Development and maintenance of all infrastructure
IT maintenance
Security, emergency response and fire control
Reviewing healthcare facilities and evacuation arrangements
Environmental health; waste, sanitation, mosquito and pest control
Logistics and procurement
Third party contractors; control of building contractors and professional advisers
Liaison with local, regional and national Government and relevant stakeholders
Management of the Community and Conservation Officer in conservation and community projects
Responsible for ensuring sustainability targets are met and improved upon year on year
Ensure lodge is risk assessment compliant
Manage the safari shop
Management of the lodge social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, etc.
