A fantastic opportunity is available for a highly qualified and experienced Lodge General Manager.

The General Manager is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of a luxury Game Lodge.

To provide leadership to staff, maintain lodge facilities and provide a level of hospitality

Tertiary qualification in hospitality management or equivalent

Proven working experience in the hospitality field, with a MINIMUM of five (5) years

in the same/similar position - ability to work flexible hours

Outstanding communication skills

Service excellence, coupled with a desire to enhance Guest Experience

Integrity, Problem solving, Empathy & Excellent Organisation Skills required.

Strong personality & outstanding skills in leading people

Valid Driver’s Licence

Experience in managing 100+ staff force a MUST

Experience to respond to a range of different work situations

Experience in writing business reports

Solid knowledge of computer programmes with special focus on Microsoft Excel, Micros, OPERA,

Word & Outlook

In depth understanding of core business principles

Basic understanding of budgeting, revenue forecasting, capital expenditure, stock management,

costing & marketing plans for all reporting departments

Results driven & pressure resilient

Operational Management of the Lodge

Ensure & provide flawless, upscale, professional & high class guest service experiences
Analyse customer feedback & provide strategic direction to continuously improve overall ratings
Expect & react promptly to guest requirements
Coordinate & manage communication between guests & staff
Direct, coach & manage lodge employees to ensure all standards & operating procedures are adhered to.
Maintaining all aspects of facilities & assets in the lodge through best practice of hygiene & safety standards for both guests & staff
Salary R 40 000 - 50 000 including accommodation.
