Client with a national footprint is looking for a GM for the Durban operation.

Duties: to manage the regional operations; to drive targets and increase year on year growth on market share, return on investments, profit etc. To manage cost drivers and achieve cost efficiencies whilst maintaining business sustainability. To ensure compliance with SHEQ, Health and Safety standards; to improve delivery turn-around times; to build solid customer and stakeholder relationships within the region; to follow up on project audits and ensure that items identified are rectified; to attend the monthly management meeting and to report on achievements, problems, challenges, volumes, etc.; to assist with any ad hoc tasks as and when requested by management.

Minimum: BCom or relevant qualification; at least 5 years Road Transport Operations management experience; Strong analytical and technical knowledge; Good understanding of finance and statistics; project management skills; Good leadership skills.
