The General Manager develops the strategy, operational plans, directs and co-ordinates the operation of the Company , including providing direction through the formulation of policies, managing Area Managers and setting performance targets to ensure that the business is profitable.

Responsibilities includes but not limited to:

1. Business Strategy & Management
2. Brand Standards & regulation compliance
3. Reporting
4. Leadership
5. Brand marketing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (Business Management, Retail Management or any other related field, FMCG preferable)
• A minimum of 5 – 10 years working experience in a QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) Environment preferred
• Understanding of restaurant profit & loss statements, cost calculations and other key drivers affecting restaurant profitability
• Proven track record of Managing Teams and working effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional, results-oriented team environment
• Management experience is essential, together with QSR financial acumen and P&L understanding
• Demonstrated experience in setting up channel and institutional business
• Retail management and operations experience
• Proficiency in English, Afrikaans and a third language would be advantageous.
• Strong communication and negotiation Skills
• Displays effective leadership and management Skills
• Financial and analytical acumen.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Knowledge of the QSR Market and the ability to interpret trends / competitor analysis
• Ability to perform budgeting and forecasting exercises for the Region / Areas
• Knowledge of Training Needs Analysis (TNA )
• Knowledge of Performance Management and conducting of performance discussions
• Making decisions and solving problems
• Monitoring processes, materials and surroundings
• Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships
