A multinational communications company is looking for a General Manager: Regional Digital Services to be based at their offices in Lagos. The General Manager: Regional Digital Services will be responsible for leading and coordinating Digital. This includes ensuring that the priorities are agreed and aligned for execution. The job will require you to ensure ongoing monitoring and reporting against the priorities as well as coordination of budget planning and review with the regional VP Office

Your key job responsibilities as the General Manager: Regional Digital Services in Lagos will include:

- Lead and support the development and alignment of individual OpCo strategies and delivery plans in cooperation with the functional teams, the in-country teams as well as the VP offices
- Support the preparation and implementation of Digital Services and MFS plans
- Report to the VP office on the monthly regional performance, and key issues
- Facilitate and provide resolution on issues escalated
- Coordinate budget planning and reviews
- Provide definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and objectives for the teams
- Encourage knowledge transfer and drive continuous improvement
- Establish a governance structure to enable effective management and coordination across the stakeholders
- Obtain approval on new initiatives and drive decision making that creates immediate change within the organization
- Review alignment with strategy
- Oversee budgets in line with the set DOAs, business objectives and facilitate forecasting
- Oversee project initiative budgets in line with the specified delegation of authorities and approvals
- Delivery of monthly reports on regional performance and identification of key issues for delivery and meeting delivery targets
- Coordinate budget planning and reviews

Requirements for this General Manager: Regional Digital Services job in Lagos will include:

- Minimum of 4-year tertiary degree (Finance/ Business/Technology)
- MBA or Masters advantageous
- Fluent in English
- French and Arabic (advantageous)
- Minimum 8 -10 years in a senior role in telecommunications, financial services or management consulting
- Minimum 5 - 8 years’ experience in digital services specifically in the areas of music, video, gaming and/or MFS
- Proven track record of technical know-how
- Solid understanding of Digital Services and MFS
- Abreast of Global trends & Best practices
- Willingness and flexibility to travel
