Our client requires the services of a general manager to take strategic and operational responsibility and to increase company profitability.
The day to day support, management and profitability
Implementation of the new strategy formulated by the Team
Working with the team to set and manage clear objectives and to ensure that customer requirements are met whilst ensuring the shareholders receive an adequate return on their investment.
Develop and maintain excellent customer relationships including Group customers for mutual profitable benefit.
To ensure good governance and sound financial management through accurate planning and controlling processes including the annual budgets, margin management and cost controls.
Managing the investment expenditure in equipment and IT based on appropriate ROI’s that will facilitate a reduction in product costs and provide new profitable products.
Introduce resources, systems and processes to achieve maximum efficiency in the manufacturing and sales functions and to ensure product cost reduction through operational improvements and other initiatives.
The delivery of quality products on time
Monitoring and interpretation of key market information to drive product and pricing strategies
To drive a service excellence programme to facilitate service
Sustainable growth in profitability
A relevant degree in Marketing/Sales or Engineering.
+ 10 Years of General Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
Good manufacturing skills with appropriate hands on experience in a world class manufacturing
environment
Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of customers and within the
organisation.
Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to logically and clearly set and communicate a business
strategy.
Excellent people skills and experience in managing labour relations.
The incumbent must be self-driven and have the ability to deliver.
Good knowledge of the building industry.
