Job Title : General Manager
Location : Mpumalanga

My client requires the services of a suitably qualified, well-motivated and results driven General Manager to be appointed in Eloff, Mpumalanga.

The position reports to Operational Director.
Purpose of the role: To ensure that the operating profit of the Business Unit complies with the required return on assets.

Description

Duties Include but not limited to the following:
• Ensure that the factory complies with legal and statutory requirements.
• Implement effective quality management systems.
• Sales Management.
• Create and maintain good governance processes and systems
• Manage budget effectively including but not limited to CAPEX, profit, expenses and stock
• Manage all human capital functions: Succession planning; contribution towards BBB-EE scorecard; Occupational Health and Safety; Industrial Relations; Skills Development and Retention; Performance and Productivity Management
• Monitor and manage risk.
• Manage fleet and vehicle utilization.

General:
• Relevant tertiary degree preferable a post graduate qualification
• Minimum of 10 years' managerial experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of industrial relations, production processes, financial literacy/experience and business acumen.
