Requirements:
• Grade 12
• BSc or Relevant Tertiary Qualification in Geology
• 10 years experience as Professional Geologist in Open-Pit Mining
• Experience with Coal Production
• Aptitude for Geological Mapping and use of Modern Mapping Equipment
• Computer Literate with working knowledge of Geological Modelling Software: Studio 3 Datamine, AutoCAD, ModelMaker, Logplot, Surpac etc
• Drivers License
• Must be able to pass a Medical test as well as assessments if required

Duties:
• Reporting to the Mine Planning Manager
• Responsible for Field and Pit Geological Mapping, Processing, Interpretation and Presentation
• Geological input for Mine Production Planning
• Managing Percussion Drilling Programmes Exploration and In-Pit Sampling purposes
• Comprehensive recordkeeping
• Attending Mine planning meetings
